Thank you for your courage and bravery to share your final day with Chandler. I felt your words to my core. It is shocking and deeply alarming when hospital and Doctors behave in such an inhumane way. To put their agendas and beliefs before yours and your family. Thank you for sharing. ❤️
Oh Lisa. My ❤️ is breaking for you and for the continued pain this inappropriate response from the hospital has caused. Thank you for bravely telling your story to help others.
Thank you, Valerie. My hope and desire is to share this story in rooms with people whose vocations intersect with end-of-life moments. Stories can shape hearts better than textbooks and manuals.
I am in awe of you strength. Sharing this part of your story is such a powerful way to advocate for patient and family rights. I’m so deeply sorry this was your family’s (and more importantly, Chandler’s last day). 🩷🩷🩷
Krista, thank you. I want to tell Chandler’s story, our story, in conference rooms, classrooms, lecture halls…any place where people are pursuing a vocation that will take them into end-of-life moments. Because stories can impact hearts more than manuals and textbooks. Maybe that is the best way I can bring some sense of justice and redemption to what happened on January 1, 2019.
My heart goes out to you and your family. I can’t imagine the pain and devastation you’ve been through. Sharing your experience will help other families who find themselves navigating similar heartbreak and frustration, and may guide them as they face these incredibly difficult decisions.
Thank you, Cindy. That is my hope and prayer…that our story can shine a light for others, including those who are present by vocation in final moments.
Thank you for sharing this. This was super eye opening and very educational for someone, like me, who hasn’t experienced anything like this. I’m so, so sorry you had to experience this. No one deserves to have anything like this happen to them for any reason. ♥️

Thank you, Lori. This is the heavy part we carried silently. Not any more.
